BCHS physician re-elected to state medical board
John G. Bizon, MD, FACS, a Battle Creek otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat) and member of the Battle Creek Health System medical staff, was re-elected to the 45-member Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) board of directors.
 Dr. Bizon, a graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine, will serve a third three-year term on the MSMS board, representing physicians from Branch, Calhoun, and St. Joseph counties.
Dr. Bizon was also elected to chair the legislative policy committee of the MSMS board of directors. He serves as a member of the MSMS committee on state legislation and regulation, is co-chair of its council of physician organizations, and is as a member of the MSMS task force on Medicaid Access. Dr. Bizon is a past chief of staff at BCHS, and chaired the hospital's quality committee. He is also past president of the Calhoun County Medical Society and served as president of the Calhoun County Physicians Organization.
