Feldpausch Foundation golf outing helps
BCHS cancer fund
To honor those suffering from cancer, the Feldpausch
Foundation hosted its second annual golf outing in July.
It raised more than $20,565 for the Cancer Care Medication
Fund at Battle Creek Health System. This fund assures
that cancer patients who have little or no insurance
will have access to needed medications for their treatments.
"I can tell you first-hand as a cancer survivor
how important the support and expertise of The Cancer
Care Center staff is for people fighting this disease," says
Corey LaGro, golf outing coordinator. "Thanks to
the many generous contributors to and players in this
event, cancer patients who might not have the insurance
to cover their medications will have access to them and
the caring support of the BCHS cancer center's staff.
My deepest appreciation goes out to all who made this
event such a success."
Feldpausch Foundation was formed through the success
of a three-generation grocery chain founded in Hastings,
Michigan in 1933. It invests its resources in local charitable
causes.
Battle Creek Health System, sponsored by two parent
organizations--Trinity Health (the fourth largest Catholic

Community Partners, is accredited by the Joint Commission
on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Battle
Creek Health System, a member of the Mercy Cancer Network,
