BCHS associates and physician recognized for going 'above and beyond'
Three Battle Creek Health System Family Birth Center nurses and the chief medical officer were recognized recently for going 'above and beyond' in serving others. Polly Syc-Vega, a charge nurse, staff nurses Danielle Geigle and Renae Rivera, and Dr. Jeffrey Mitchell, vice president of medical affairs and CMO received the health system's Above & Beyond--Outstanding Recognition Awards.
The honor is given to those who demonstrate exemplary actions that embrace the organization's mission and values. The BCHS Above & Beyond Award program includes not only BCHS associates, but also physicians on the BCHS medical staff. Associates and physicians are nominated in one of four categories by co-workers, patients, or guests: customer relations, innovation and cost effectiveness, performance/productivity, and enthusiasm/commitment.
All four were recognized for their enthusiasm and commitment to others.
