The City of Battle Creek is resurfacing a section of
Emmett Street from the corner of North Avenue east to
Fremont Street. The tentative time line for this project
is mid-July through the middle of September. Because
of this construction, the normal entrance to Battle Creek
Health System’s Cancer Care Center and Outpatient
Center will be closed.
During the street project, there will be two alternative
options for those who park in The Cancer Care Center
and Outpatient parking lots-Fremont Street entrance or
off of North Avenue near Miller College.
•If you are heading north or south on North Avenue
or east on Emmett Street, please enter the hospital property
on the North Avenue entrance and follow the signs to
the Outpatient and Cancer entrances.
•If you are traveling from the east or from downtown
via Fremont Street, please use the Fremont Street entrance
between Fremont School and the south entrance to Kellogg
Community College.
•For those coming from I-94 toward downtown Battle
Creek, continue on M-66 North to the Fremont Street traffic
light (near the Y-Center) and turn left (north) onto
Fremont.
Again, we regret that your normal traffic pattern is
being disrupted, but are confident that once the City
completes this project, you will have easier streets
on which to navigate to the hospital.
