2009 Relay for Life Battle Creek Schedule
All across the U.S., especially during the summer, communities
are stepping out and walking for the American Cancer
Society's (ACS) annual Relay for Life.
This year's event in Battle Creek is set for Saturday
and Sunday, July 11-12, from 10 a.m.-10 a.m. at the Lakeview
High School track. The opening ceremony is set for noon.
There will be a Fight Back ceremony at 4:15 p.m., a Survivor
Lap at 6 p.m. followed by a Survivors' Dinner, and a
Luminary ceremony at dusk.
Relay For Life, the signature event of the ACS, is a
24-hour community-based event that encourages individuals
to get involved in the fight against cancer. Above all
else, Relay For Life is a celebration of life, health,
and cancer survivorship. It is a way to pay tribute to
those who have lost their battles with cancer and to
support those who are currently fighting it.
If you would like to participate or sponsor someone
who will be walking in the events, call 1-800-227-2345.
Battle Creek Health System, sponsored by two parent
